2003 Mini standard. Just clicks when I turn on the ignition. Can start by popping the clutch and once started it runs fine.....then will start all day when I stop for errands. Had the battery checked and the altimeter and all is good. Cleaned the battery cables and tightened. Still does it. What next?

 

I'd have the battery rechecked with a load tester , sounds like it's weak to me.

If thats not it could be a starter /solenoid trouble or wiring there
