Mini Cooper Forums - Mini Cooper Enthusiast Forums - Mini Hatch 2007 1.6 Petrol Automatic ENGINE NOISE, suggestions please?

Hi everyone,
First of all, sorry if this is posted in the wrong section!
I do own a Mini Cooper 2007 Petrol 1.6 Automatic with 127000 on the clock and i recently noticed that the engine has a very loud knoking noise, to be honest sounds like a Diesel car!! I’m a woman but at least i know that a petrol a car shouldn’t sound like this…☺ I’m stressed about and i think i’ll avoid driving it until i get it checked!!
I’ve managed to record a video, i’m posting the link below, maybe someone can suggest me what it could be and how much will cost approximately.
The car had oil and filters service done in October last year and the guys in the shop said that everything seems ok…
Now, i don’t know much about cars and had bough it only in January last year.
Would someone have any idea what to expect from bringing it for service?
