John Cooper Works GP Kit?

http://miniusa.com/#/learn/specialEd...ooperWithJcw-m

Does anyone know if they are available in the States yet or when they will be available?

A couple of disclaimers mention that the U.S. versions may differ from what is shown.

Thanks

well...you can buy the 2007 John Cooper Works tuning kit from your local mini dealership for about $2100(w/o labor costs).... it is advertised to only take about 2 hours to install.

My dealer wanted 2500 to install does anyone know the HP gain.
I think it was just a intake ,exaust and ecu update . that was on the 07 MCS

The GP is not a kit... it's an entirely different car. They came out a while ago and were all sold before the first one was made. You might be able to find a used one.

Also, they're 2006 models, not 07's.

AMG6975,
Thanks. So the link on the Miniusa site for the GP car is from 2006...Bummer.

WHITE07,
The JCW engine upgrade listed in the "Build Your Own" section increases HP to 189. The GP Kit car listed 214HP.

The uk JCW Cooper S takes your mini to 210BHP and the GP is limited version @ 214BHP but is stripped out for track racing with no back seats, air con,etc...
I have the JCW Cooper S and its well worth the money view my photo album on here.

It does 0-60MPH in 6.7 secs and i have had it at 148Mph.

The US spec of the GP still has A/C... don't know about the UK though.
