Default Mini cooper s convertible spec

Hi all.

Just wondering if anyone could sheed any light on the the mini cooper s convertible?!?

I am just selling my vw golf 2.0 tdi sport and I am wanting a the above. I have been looking on auto trader and it seems that the 2009 model and onwards gives you more mpg? Is that right?
2007 and 2008 say urban is 25.3 mpg and 2009 say urban is 34

Any replies gratefully received.

The 07 and some 08s were the first gen Supercharged motor the 09+ are the new turbo motor I think the 09's miles sound a little high in city miles
