Hey all! I've always been a gas guzzlin, V8 truck driving type guy. I've always admired these cars, and the opportunity finally presented itself that I could get one. I LOVE IT!!! Not to mention 30+mpg!!!

I have been running regular gas because I remember reading somewhere that the engine will adjust itself to run on regular. Unfortunately, I am barely getting 30mpg right now. Do you guys think running the premium will help mileage? I am a gear head, so I know all about the performance benefits, etc. Oh, I also live in north-central Alberta, Canada, so the extreme cold weather is having an effect on mileage too.

Premium is a must ... for engine longevity and maximum power ...
the engine retards timing ect to get the engine to not detonate ...
I lose 4 mpg or so on the times I have put regular in the tank ...
