06 with blown motor need advice on swap
 

Just picked up an '06 ragtop and ran the VIN through the forum decoder. https://minicooperforums.com/forum/v...RH33555TK56548

I am looking for advice and where to start. What I know:

1. The motor is supposed to be blown.
2. The car has been sitting for over a year.
3. The weather seals are tight and it has not taken on water.
4. The car is solid with no rust and no damage.
5. Battery is hammer dead and I will be towing it to my house in a few days.
6. Its an automatic

What I would like to do is put a strong motor, and manual 6 spd.
