New here, I created a profile because I need tech assistance. I've owned this car for a year, and put a spectacular amount of money into it already...evidently the previous owner was lousy at car ownership.

So, what it's doing is, when I go to idle at a stoplight the car shudders and it sounds like it's misfiring. I've replaced the spark plugs and it seemed to clear the issue for a few days, but now it's back. I can't justify putting more money into this money pit, so let's not talk expensive stuff.

Any ideas?

Welcome to MINI Cooper Forums, Steve. Has the check engine light come on at all? What other routine maintenance items have you replaced recently? If you haven't, I'd highly recommend you plug into your OBDII port with a diagnostic scanner and check for fault codes.
