2010 engine replacement
 

Granddaughter bought a used 2010 mini in 2016. Now has 70000 miles. She was driving on the freeway, heard a loud pop, and the engine oil blew out (inside the hood) https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/minicoo...24bb1e4b5d.png She still owes $8000. we need to get it towed to someone in Cleveland Ohio for an estimate, but it looks as if she needs an engine replacement. Need advice on whether it is really worth spending $5000 on an $8000 car. Especially because the 2010 mini's do not sound as if they are very reliable. Thoughts anyone?
