2016 Cooper S 50K miles Fuel Vent Valve

Hi

A Fuel Vent Valve had to be replaced on a 2016 Cooper S with 50,000 miles on it.
Anybody had a previous experience with such an issue.
Is it the start of something bigger?

Not common. Did you overfill with fuel a couple times?
