Buzzing sound when I floor it.

My 2014 mini S has started making a horrible buzzing sound when I stomp on the gas (in Arizona it's either floor it or get run over). I can be going 75mph and floor it and I get a sound much like a blown speaker (except the stereo isn't on), once I let off the gas it stops. This week it did it when I was going just 40mph and floored it. If I ease up from 75mph to 85mph it doesn't make that buzzing sound, only when I stomp on the gas. Only thing I've had done recently was a windshield replacement - this sounds nothing like the whistle from an air leak. Any clue what this might be? Thanks.

My guess is that the wind is coming around or engine noise from the cowl area, since you had the window done they might have messed up the cowl. Or possible if you have an F56 MINI the active sound module?

Is it a F56 MINI Cooper S?

It's an F56. If it's the windshield my guess would be something didn't get tightened or a loose piece is floating around. Applying torch is the only time the noise appears - and it's not a faint buzz, it's a what the heck is that buzz. I cleaned out everything inside the car that could vibrate. Sounds more like it's on the right side of the cab.

applying torque...not torch,at would be a whole different story...oops.
