Central locking key
 
Hi, hoping someone can offer advice regarding my mini coopers central locking key :) past couple of weeks its been playing up with regards to opening/locking car, today it looks like its packed in altogether as I had to lock it with the key :rolleyes: silly me thought it needed a new battery lol, but seems more technical ive heard, any advice would be much appreciated, car is a cooper 56 plate, thanks. :p

The comfort access keys have an extra battery that is on the bottom.

Hi, many thanks for your reply its much appreciated, no i havent changed the battery as was advised they dont have batteries!! but needed re programming!! i will do as you advised and change bottom battery, would i need to get it from a specialist or are they readily available from any good car accessory stockist? thanks again for taking the trouble to assist me, Jackie :)

For the R56 MINI Cooper 2007+ there are circular keys and circular key fob with comfort access. Comfort access have the battery that can be changed externally with the flat battery above.
