Does Mini use real Chrome

New Mini owner here 2024 F56 :D. I've been trying to figure out the material that is used for all the "chrome" accents on the car. It is real chrome, i.e. chromium, polished aluminum, or something else entirely? Specifically I'm wondering about the exterior door handles, which are clearly some type of metal.
