Finally got my Mini!
 

Hey All,

New member to the forum, and first post. After wanting a Mini for 15 years, I finally got my hands on one last week. 2006 Mini Cooper S Supercharged six-speed manual (I think the tech speak is R53 - ?). Pic below with my 10 year old, who has already claimed it as his. Overall it's in really good shape, other than trim pieces and little body knicks and dings.

Bought it with 130,000 miles on it. Owned a 1984 BMW 325i for many years, and pushed that car well past 300,000 miles before I let her go, so the "high mileage" of 130k on a Mini, knowing it's a BMW pedigree, was a non-issue for me.

That said, here we go with a new adventure, so tell me everything I need to know. Looking forward to being a part of this forum, and gaining plenty of Mini knowledge.

Welcome to MINI Cooper Forums and yes, congratulations on your R53. Looks to be in good shape and that's not too bad of milage for an '06. Any future plans for it or keeping it as is?
