Hello ...another Newbie
Hello,
I am a car nut and just wanted to say hello.
I am looking to purchase a Mini Cooper S in the coming few months and wanted to join this site for any purchasing tips, and to learn more about the Mini's.
I currently own a Porsche 930 Turbo and an old school Jeep Wrangler. I am planning on trading my Jeep in for a Mini. Gas prices are my #1 reason for getting rid of my Jeep (which I have owned for 13 years and absolutely love). 17 MPG in the Jeep just ain't cutting it for commuting in anymore. I've always loved Mini's ...the old school ones that is, and was happy when they re-introduced the new style in the early 2000's. I think the new Mini's have a ton of soul and perform and look great.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello and get one post under my belt!

RE: Hello ...another Newbie
hi. got mine for the gas mileage also, started off wanting a regular mini, 39mpg is great, but ended up with a JCW. Now I will be racing it and using it for daily driving (autocross only). Still get 32mpg daily, not bad.
