Hello-New Guy Onboard...

Thought I'd introduce myself, I took a test ride in a used Mini this afternoon and now I suppose you could say I am hooked. Hooked to the point of having many questions I hope can be answered here as I figure what better place to go for real information than the owners themselves!

And yes I built my Mini online and suffer from a bit of sticker shock!:(

Cheers!

Used?

Welcome! There's a lot of very nice "pre-owned" mini's out there that can save you a TON of money. Good luck. Ron

Thanks Ron... I drove a six speed S but it seemed like the previous owner drove it pretty hard...

My being older and I'd like to think a wee bit wiser, I doubt I would drive it that hard. As for buying used? I would have to seriously just run into the color I really like. The performance upgrades I would not find much use for I suppose, unless I was to find a track to run it on.

I can understand being a "little older" as I've been retired for 15 years, I recently sold my C5 Corvette which I bought 7 years ago and purchased a 2007 Chili red S with 6 speed manual. It's really a "play" car so I'm not worried about buying used as it will only gain 4-5K miles /years. Only owned it for a couple of weeks but so far, it's a blast to drive. Good luck with what ever you decide to do. Ron
