Help on 07 S model purchase

As the username says....total newb.

I'm looking at an 07 S Model. $10,800. 90K miles. Very tight steering, no squeaks, rattles. Clean interior.

Motor is strong - accelerates hard (for a $11K car) Its a turbo - which scares me a little, especially a USED turbo.

What should I be looking out for to help me decide if its a good purchase? Is price about right? What about used turbos? Any significant recalls on the 07?

Plan is to take it to a mechanic to check compression across the cylinders, and also oil pressure (to check the bottom end. What I usually do when I buy a used car.

What else am I not thinking of?

And most importantly... do I have to surrender my man card for buying a chick car? j/k

Hi and welcome to the forum. I personally think that the price is just a lil too high for that much mileage. I would try and talk them down. I don't recall that the 07's had any recall probs. Definitely if you do buy it take it to your mechanic and have them check compression/oil pressure. Ask them to check out the turbo and all the piping. Hope this helps a little. Good luck!
