I need HELP!!!!
 
I have a 2011 mini and it has been acting up. The lights turn on when I get in the car but when I put the key in the ignition everything shuts down. The lights turn off and the car won’t start. The key won’t come out of the ignition either. I have to open and close the doors a couple times for everything to come back on. What is happening with my car?????

The thing that comes to mind for me is to check the battery. Being 6 years old it might be on the outs or a bad connection. Do you have a secondary fob and is it having the same problem? Although it sounds a bit redundant is it in park? Mine did that on me before.
