Default Just purchased my first MINI!

Just bought my first MINI! Had an FJ Crusier that was AWESOME! Still love that vehicle, it is the best in its class. I am hoping that the mini proves to be the best in this class. Travel distance has increased and I needed something with better gas mileage but did not want just your average "good mpg car". Purchased a 2007 cooper s with only 34,000 miles!
I do have a question about the use of gas with ethanyol. I know for best preformance I should be using 91+ octane. But it seems that everywhere I go the gas contains some ethanyol? How will this effect my car, or should I avoid it at all cost?

I just joined too! I have a 2011 Jeep Rubicon 2dr, not exactly a FJ but I do feel ya on your reasons for getting your Cooper S.

Your MINI is designed and programed to use the premium fuel available weather it contains ethanol or not, so you will be okay to just fill it up and go.
