Looking to Become Mini Cooper Owner

I'm in the market for a new car, and have been eyeing up Mini Coopers. I currently have a 2002 Maxima and plan to use the cash I get from selling that, so I only really want to spend $2500, 2600. I just messaged a guy asking about one. Has a manual, 130k miles. Said the clutch was replaced at 120k along with the rear brakes and other parts. Only thing is that the ABS light is on, which isn't a huge deal for me. Unless it's a known issue.

I did a bit of research on common issues and the common things are the steering rack, timing chain, and radiator support. I'm mostly concerned with the timing chain. What's the best way to check and see if it's bad/loose? The VQ's in the Maxima's are known for faulty timing chain guides so I know what to listen for, but will it do it on startup, cold starts, etc? And how do I inspect the radiator support? Thanks guys
