Needs professional help on my 2009 Mini Cooper S

Hi Everyone:
I am new here! I have my pre-owned 2009 Mini Cooper S since 2015 (55000 miles). Just recently got the Timing Chain replaced due to the rattling noise. In addition, the mechanics also replaced the water pump and thermostat to prevent their failure to save some labor cost. After about 50 miles running, the engine light was on, send it back and diagnosed as thermostat failure. Got it replaced with another genuine mini part then drove for just another 20 miles then light was never off (err ;//). Of course sent it back again, they did all the diagnosis, again the thermostat issue, replaced for the third time. Now they said the new part should not be the issue due to the p0597 came just after the new replacement. Now they want to re-program the computer, if it doesn’t fix the issue then have to replace the DME computer;//
Just wondering why they can not fix it with three times, do I need walk away from this place ?
Many thanks!

I would definitely look for another opinion, have you had any luck?

Car runs well even the EML is still on...will re-flash the computer first to see if it works...

Here is my update, after the Mini dealer's final diagnosis, they said engine computer died (ECU) and need to be replaced! It means more $$ to throw into this money pit. I will trade it in before the emission due! Bye Mini!
