Hello everyone,

I just joined the forum today and I am learning the site. I am still figuring out how to fill in my user profile and how to attach photographs.

Our 2004 Mini Cooper 5 speed base hatch back, was purchased new in August of 2004 from a dealership in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (international Motor sports). They were the only dealer at that time, in the State of Wisconsin. We moved to Apache Junction, Arizona in May, 2011. It is my Wife's car and she named it; 'Mini Pearl', due to the color. We have a little over 235,000 miles on it. We both love it and I do not intend to sell it or trade it in. I am a Mechanical engineer and my dad was a Mechanic and I have been doing my own maintenance and repairs since I was in my early teen years, helping my Dad. Only normal wear items have been replaced. A break down happened to my wife just 2 weeks with the clutch disc finally wearing out. I am doing the work myself and have removed the transmission and am waiting on parts before reassembly. The engine compartment is filled with items just like they were jambed in there. Quite a job to get to the transmission. I am also Changing out the other worn parts while I have it apart. When done I hope to get another 200,000 + miles.

Once I understand the ins and outs of the forum, I will post pictures and tech efforts I have done and are presently doing to it.
