Default New to Mini

I recently purchased a 2003 base Mini with only 44k miles. Car is in excellent condition and price was right. Was looking for smaller more fuel efficient car. Want to extend the life on my 05 Ram pick up approaching 200k miles. Car was service by dealer (oil/filter change, new air filter) before purchased. Have been reading a lot about transmission problems, mines a 5 speed manual. Car was one owner with clean car fax report. Only history I have found is it was a woman’s summer car driven 2500-2800k miles/year. Should I change tranny fluid now or wait. Thanks for any input.
