Wife Jane and I just purchased our first MINI, an '07 Cooper S in Sparkling Silver with a white top and white bonnet stripes and black leatherette interior. What a neat little car! I can hardly wait to add some goodies to it. (A few laps at Willow Springs can't be too far in the future). We will be looking into MINI clubs in the Los Angeles area, and the members recommendations for good websites to purchase from. I will post pictures when I can.

Question if you are willing to answer...
Were you able to negotiate anything off the sticker price of your Mini? We are working with a very laid back sales rep who claims Mini dealers never negotiate because they dont have to, and Mini sells every car it ships to US without incentives yada yada.
Is this for real?

 

We couldn't get our Mini Dealer (Bob Smith in Calabasas) to budge on the sticker price. They had a $3000 dealer markup which we negotiated down almost to zero, but it took hours to get there. We wanted a color (sparkling silver) that they felt is somewhat rare and therefore more valuable to them. I will say that after 500 miles, I still think that it was the best choice I could have made.
