new owner, used mini
 

Hello,
I just bought an 05 mini s coupe with only 11,000 miles on it. I've been loving driving it for two days. Yesterday I filled the gas tank and it registered full. Today when I started it the needle is on empty and the red light is on. No obvious gas leak. Are these cars known for electrical problems? Anything else anyone can tell me about 05's or used mini's in general? What to watch out for?

Go back to the Dealer or call the owner. Yes, there are all kinds of problems I've been reading about in the electrical area of this car. Seems like they'd be great cars if you pulled the garbage software and electonic gadgets out. I'd almost wish for crank down windows... maybe a Mr Bean Model.

I've driven my new "used" 03 with 15K miles on it for about 2 weeks and I'm having start up problems and issues with the DSC and Tire monitor. I'm upset. After going the route you look like you want to try.... I'm going to raise some heck at the dealer tomorrow.
