New from PA and looking to buy a MCS

Hello Everyone. I am from Pennsylvania and I am looking into buying a mini. I have a ton of questions so if any of you could shed some light I would GREATLY appreciate it.

I am looking for something between 2005 and 2010 depending on price. My main questions are with the 2nd gen audio systems. Has anyone solved the issues of steering wheel controls, data bus, ipod issues, and adding an aftermarket head unit and physically deleting the stock unit.

In addition what is the major difference in performance between the turbo and the super charger? Which would you suggest and why. Lastly, when looking at these cars, is there something that I should be looking for when buying? Something to steer clear of?

Lastly, what exactly is JCW and GP? I think that it's John Cooper Works, but is that just something that you can buy and bolt on or is that a factory upgrade?

Thanks to all in advance!

This is great info...thank you. I will start my search on here for the S/C vs turbo. I just read the GP site.

Thanks again!

Do any of you have a recommendation on best year to by and why???

Currently have my eye on a 2007 S.

I prefer the S/C as it's easily upgraded compared to the turbo
