I've been dying to get my hands on a mini cooper for about 5 months now and I finally found the perfect R56!!! Four days ago I traded in my 2008 Mazdaspeed3 that was fully bolted at one point (removed all the parts before trading it in) for a 2007 MCS with the John Cooper Works package!! The best part of this deal is the fact that the MCS only has 25k miles on it!!! My MS3 was pushing 95k miles and was really starting to show its age so I felt it was time to let it go and get a new toy. So far I love the Mini.....the car is super responsive, more refined than the MS3, and I feel planted to the road. While my MS3 was WAY faster (I was pushing close to 300bhp) I feel that the cooper is still going to fill my need for speed without having to constantly worry about the engine popping.

The JCW package is what made me sign the paperwork for the car. After taking it for a spin and hearing that exhaust note as well as the responsiveness of the throttle I was completely sold.....now all I want to do is dress up the exterior a little bit by wrapping/plasti-dipping the roof gloss black and add the dual racing stripes down the center of the car. After that, I'll look at some lighter wheels and some tint then I'll be done. I plan on leaving the engine alone as I'm kinda sick and tired of the tuning scene (of course, I've said this before with the last three cars and all of them ended up heavily modded so we'll see).
