thanks for the add, new to Mini's, I've worked on Lincolns.....recently started dating a lady with a 2008 vert, non turbo, north of 100k. It threw a CEL several months ago (5-6 months), car has sat for about 3-4 months currently. I will pull the dtc this weekend, the battery (over 4 years old) completely dead, replacing with a new 40 month Exide tomorrow. She says tranny went out in the last 2 years but was under warranty and replaced by Flow Mini n/c. New auto trans not as aggressive as original, so she says
Also was told the CEL is related to a valve, would be a $3300 repair, or they'd give her $500 for the car. She says it was running fine in spite of the CEL, but it's currently unregistered. Non structural front clip damage poorly repaired by a crooked body shop in Durham NC, (closed out of business)
