Default Not a MINI owner yet, but want one. :)

Hi all.

I am thinking of getting a base, bare bone ( or close to it) MINI. 12/19 and 12/20 visited 4 dealers in area and none of them want to negotiate. There are cars on the lot out there.

I do not even have the car and already frustrated and pissed off. All of my other cars that I bought, I was able to get at invoice or little over it. Why MINI would not negotiate? In August of 2010 I got 2011 BMW 328xi and was able to get it at invoice.... Any advise? thx

Similar situation in Birmingham, AL. Went several months ago and left angry. I seem to recall the price was reduced USD200.00. Supply and demand I suppose.

Here's a trick I used in AZ for my 2012 MINI Cooper S.... I found the exact car that I wanted on the showroom floor. Went to order a very similar but less expensive MINI S. They talked it over the next day after I left and all of sudden, there it is. They wanted to offer me the showroom car that I dreamed of owning for the same price as the one I was going to order. I got the premium sound, aftermarket wheels, and convenience package for free. Lots of bells and whistles that I didn't really need, but gladly took. So it can be done.
