PLEASE HELP! SERIOUS R56 transmission help needed!!
 

hello all! first post on this forum, for the most part I usually can come to this forum to find answers about pretty much everything concerning my R56. However, my troubles today, I have not been able to find any answers AT ALL... ANYWHERE!!! so PLEASE HELP!!

I have a 2007 r56 with about 68,000 miles on it (10 of which I have put on it since I bought it july 2013). and like many US R56 owners I have premature transmission bearing, and roller breakdown and failure in my Getrag 6-speed. SO I am in need of a new transmission, or at least that is my best option as far as i can ascertain. Currently I am looking on car-parts.com. and I have a few questions about transmission compatibility ( because honestly there is no information out there about it at all!)

1. 2007-2010 MCS transmissions are interchangeable, BUT are 207-2011 JCW six speeds compatible with my 2007 MCS

2. Do they make a conversion kit for 2011 (post 7/2010)-2012 transmission? (like they do for the Midland minis to the getrag transmission)
