starting problem
 

hi all i am having trouble starting my 05 cooper one soft top i was told it was fuel pump changed that still not happening when i had the old pump on it if i banged about the top of pump it would start now with the new one on i am not getting and noise from pump at turn over of key no lights on dash everything comes on as it should it will just not start
now someone else has told me its the brain gone if i cant get any help my brain will go lol thanks in advance

Hello. With no starts you want to check the basics. Check spark, fuel injector pulse and pressure fuel, volume and quality. Is the CEL on or are there any fault codes present when you plug into the OBDII port? Who installed the pump?
