Want a MINI but need information

I am looking into buying a new MINI, however I want to know about the maintenance on the MINI's. How much are oil changes? I was reading that there were over $150. How does the mini handle? Any information you could give me on them would be greatly appreciated... I would like to know the good and the bad things about them.

Go take a test drive in one. They have stiff suspension. Take it to an indie mechanic and hang on to the reciepts if you're worried about the warranty, or you could do the oil changes yourself.

They come with 3yr/36000 free maintenance including wear items like brakes and wipers. Just have to take it to a Mini dealer.

Handling is amazing. Especially in Sport mode if you have an S model. I've only had mine a few days and have not had so much fun driving since I was teenager.

Definitely get an S model.

Just my two cents worth as Im not a mini owner YET but test drove one this week.
The handling is very very good! Takes corners really well! I love that part.
The cooper S acceleration is very good, its fast enough for me, NOT the fastest, but very very good.
The ride is very solid, yes, its a bit stiff but not obnoxious.
The feel of the car is also very solid-similar to BMWs and Mercedes, definitely tighter than most japanese cars save for Lexus.
As for the other concerns, the other members in this group can address it as I dont own one yet but saving up for one.
Good luck
