Got a flat tire.
Took it in and there was a huge screw inside the tire that had a hole the size of a nickel in it. Cost me a freakin fortune to replace too.

RE: Got a flat tire.
why so expensive? performance tires??
|
RE: Got a flat tire.
Nope. They're run-flats, so you can't just patch them up. You gotta replace the whole thing.

RE: Got a flat tire.
hmm..how odd..what make of tire is it? i had runflats on my car from the factory..and when i was a tech i repaired one...where is the hole?

RE: Got a flat tire.
They're Dunlop. The hole was huge though, so it would probably have been impossible to patch it up.

RE: Got a flat tire.
Ooooooo ouch. Yeah, luckily I wasn't far from home by the time it lost the majority of its air pressure.

RE: Got a flat tire.
so what did you pay for the tire?and did you get it from the factory?
|
RE: Got a flat tire.
I think it was a little over 200 for the whole job, and I'm guessing it is from the factory since they took it to a Mini dealership to do all the work.

RE: Got a flat tire.
Hi,
My Mini spent almost a week at the dealer after hitting a pothole. The rain we have had here in SoCal has opened some huge potholes about the size of a Mini[sm=jawdrop.gif]. I couldnt decide if I should go with one runflat for almost $300 or 4 new tires for $400:eek:. You gussed right 4 new tires nonrunflats. They handle a bit better, I think. |
