I bought this car 4 years ago with around 115k miles. Now it has 164k or so but now that I'm married, my wife is tired of all the visceral goodness of this vehicle and we've upgraded to something more isolated from the road (albeit still a manual tranny, thank god).

The original owner specified a rather loaded Cooper S, as you can see from the window sticker. (S)he and the second owner have maintained a nice set of records, and I have continued that tradition (see pic....will be happy to show you all docs, especially if you're local).

This car is best for the DIYer as it needs some help to maintain perfect street-worthiness.....since I have a new car to replace this one, I don't see the value in making the repairs myself at the moment. Here's some items to consider:

- I believe a new clutch is needed because I hear a noise when pressing it (I reckon the bearing is what I hear).
- Sensors may or may not need replacing.....was told about the possibility, but no trouble for over a year.
- Windshield needs replacing due to an errant pebble on the highway.

Please take a look at the pics and window sticker as this car has a lot of interesting items for the enthusiast....it's not your garden-variety Mini.

I want both of us to walk away happy after the transaction, so hopefully it's not too much to ask to be a reasonable person, ya dig? Asking price: $3000.

Alrighty....here's some of the technical issues per the paperwork I have.

Once I bought this car, I had it regularly serviced by a nearby shop called Miniworx. I've also kept track of every gas fill-up because previous owners did a nice job with paperwork so why should I disrupt that process?

For you folks familiar with CA, car was smogged over a year ago.

New catalytic converter 9/13.

New spark plug thread 10/14.

Strut mount
Control arm bushing
All replaced 3/15.

New LS window regulator 6/15

Rear O2 sensor replaced in 1/16.

Coolant expansion tank changed 4/16.

Front brake pads, rotors, and wear sensors replaced 4/16.

Oil filter housing
Heater exhanger O-ring
Valve cover gasket
Spark plug seal
Air filter
All replaced 8/16.

Axle rebuilt with new right-side axle boot
Freon added to AC and service valves replaced
All done 10/16

New tires and rear strut replacement 10/16

Today, aside of needing brake pads soon, power steering tube has slight vacuum leak that's only apparent when starting the car.
