What's my '06 JCW Mini is Worth??
I'm looking to sell my ’06 JCW Mini privately and really don't know what she’s worth.
I’m looking for guidance. I bought her a second car to drive on summer weekends. If you’ve never driven a JCW edition, you’ll soon find out that this car is a rocket ship. This Mini has always been garage kept and has never been driven in the snow (rarely even driven in the rain). She has just over 25,000 miles. Now my wife wants the garage for a craft room, so I lose my Mini. She is a fantastic looking Mini in Space Blue Metallic with a Silver Roof and Silver Bonnet Stripes, 17” Web Spoke Wheels, Chrome Trim and Chrome Driving Lamps. Inside she has the exquisite English Panther Black Leather Seats (they are very special, if you’ve never seen them) all chrome trim, the Anthracite headliner, and the dual tach console mounted above the Steering wheel. Here are the details and prices from the original sticker:
2006 Mini Cooper S $20,900
Space Blue Metallic $450
English Panther Black Leather Seats $1,700
Anthracite headliner $200
Combo Cold Weather Package $300
• Heated seats, mirrors and washer jets
Combo Premium Package $1,400
• Multi-Function steering wheel
• Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof
• Automatic Air Conditioning
• On-Board Computer
Combo Sport Package $1,900
• Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)
• Front Fog Lamps
• 17” Alloy Wheels S-Lite
• Performance Run-Flat Tires
• Bonnet Stripes
• Xenon Headlights with Headlamp Powerwash
• Web Spoke Wheels
Combo John Cooper Works Tuning Kit $6,300
• Can’t read this detail
• JCW Sport Brake Kit
• Limited Slip Differential
Chrome Line Interior $200
Center Armrest $200
Rear Fog Lamp $100
Cockpit Chrono Package $300
Harman-Kardon Sound System $550
Destination Charge $550
Sub-Total $35,050
Dealer Added Options (Mini of Fairfield County, CT)
iPod Adaptor $395
Mini Cooler $185
Mini Floor Mats N/C
Chrome Driving Lights $795
Stripes and Scoop Painted $500
Alarm $395
Grand Total $37,320
Since new I have had my Mini serviced more often than prescribed in the maintenance manual. I had the dealer in Fairfield install the Armour Fenders (Clear protecting tape) to front bumper and grill, rear bumper, doors, and side mirrors and lights. I have replaced all four run flat tires with Pirelli run flats for $1064 at 21,272 miles. I have all the original owner’s manuals and all the service receipts.
Since the car lives in the garage all winter last September I had my local car guru install a permanent battery charger in the car so I can just plug in to keep her charged as required, which is very convenient.
I need to know what I should be asking for this Mini.
Thanks,
Kirk
