Hi Guys! I'm new to Mini World, just bought my 2006 mini cooper awhile ago. My question is which rims should I get? Any rims you can recomend? Is 17" better than 18"? I'm also looking at the 17' stock of the cooper s. I think their nice and how much I can buy those with tires included.Doyou recomend spacers..please help I'm a newbie here. Thanks.

Ok let's see here... the bigger the rim you get the less tire you have to protect your rim and also you butt (it gets bumpy!) A set of the 17" S-Lite wheels that come with the factory sport package will run you about $600 from a private seller with tires, usually run flats. I would HIGHLY recomend getting something light... Team Dynamics, SSR, Gram Lites, etc.

Welcome aboard.

No spacers required.
You need to be aware that the S-lites with runflats are extremely unforgiving of any road imperfection. You will feel every bump, ripple and pebble in your path. Lots of folks trade out of this combo just to get a better ride. Oh, and the S-lites aren't light! The combo weighs in at 50 lbs per corner. Prepare to see your gas mileage take a turn for the worse, as well as reduced acceleration.
If you are anywhere near me, I'll let you bolt on the set to see how you like them. (trust me, you won't).

^ Yeah, the S-Lites aren't light. I have a set for winter tire use. The only time you'll need spacers with any wheel is if you have a big brake kit. And still, only some wheels need them.
