Looked at a 2011 Cooper S yesterday with 59k miles and automatic. When first started and running with the hood open it seemed to make a ticking noise toward the back of the engine, not sure if this is normal or anything to be worried about if I purchase the car. It drove nice and seemed to have plenty of power and shifted without any hesitation. The car was just washed so had some water on it as well but the owner said it had made the noise since he bought it a couple months ago(package deal with another car)
