Default Water leak

Mini Cooper S 2008 model with sunroof.

Problem 1:

Water in the the lights in the ceiling of the car after heavy rain.
Turned the car in to have it fixed. Technicians couldn't figure it out.

Problem 2:

Water in the rearview mirror this time. Water pouring out of the sensor hole in the mirror when driving. Turned the car in to have it fixed. Technicians couldn't figure it out.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

The MINI service department cannot replicate the problem on site and hence are unwilling to replace any parts (ie the problem has not been fixed). In total I've had the car at the service department for 3 weeks, which clearly is frustrating.

FYI, windows, doors, sunroof have been closed of course.

Advice / help would greatly appreciated.

Do you know if they checked the sunroof drains? That would be the first thing to check.
