Mystery for the experts - squeak, flaking paint, worn tire - related?
Hi, I'm hoping someone can give some insight. I've had a 2013 Cooper for about 6 months. There was a vibration in the rear end and took it for balancing. The service guy said the tire was not out of balance. That tire was worn excessively and the lug nut threads were stripped. Hmmmm....
Trying to put together a theory. The same wheel has flaking paint (black coat is peeling off the rim badly) and there is a squeak in the suspension for that wheel. Related?
No signs of damage. Excessive heat? Bearings? Brake? Cooked bushings? Any theories? What could have happened to is? Any guesses?
