Hello everyone i own a 2005 mini cooper that i have just bought recently and the cknvertible top wont go down. the motor wasnt hooked up so i hooked it up this morning to see if that was the problem but when i pushed the button for the top to go down the only thing that happened was the motor sounding like it was jammed badly, i took the motor off and then pushed the button for the top to go up and down and it spun freely without any problems.... so the gears where my motor go is jammed and i dont know what to do any help would be awesome!
