Just bought a used 2006 R52. Love it so far. It came with a wind deflector and a storage case to keep the deflector in when it is folded. The case has straps and buckles that strap to the side of the storage case and a large adjustable buckle. But I'm not sure what they are for exactly. Are they for strapping the case down in the boot? Are they just decorative? Am I supposed to wear the case like a backpack when I get out of the car in the hope someone will ask about it and I can tell them I have a Mini convertible? Or are they just to justify the $80 cost for the storage case?

This noob would appreciate anyone that can sovle this mini mystery for me. Thanks!
