Default 08 Convertible with CVT-Get extended warranty?

We have an 08 Mini convertible with a CVT( which I don't trust).
It currently has 41K miles and the warranty expires in April 2012.

Does it make sense to get an extended warranty (transferable to next owner)?
We will probably keep the car about 3 more years.

Default yes!!!

I don't trust it either. Labor alone at $150 an hour will put a dent in your wallet alone. Parts have to give you sticker shock too. CVT sounds good on paper but not perfected in the real world.

I'd have to agree I've seen $8K replacements
