The girlfriend just bought a 2008 Mini Cooper with step-tronic.

No owners manual came with it, so I have a few questions;

Where can I get an owners manual and shop manual?

Its got 6500 miles on it and I would like to change the oil in it.

Is a p/n W0133-1635712 or equivilent a good oil filter?

Is Mobil 1 5w-30 a good choice?

What is step tronic and how does it work?

On the tach, its got a light on that is a ! in a triangle. What does that mean?

I saw a thread about how to reset the warning lights, is that what this is?

owners manual can be downloaded at mini usa
personally I use only mini filters and castrol oil that is recomended
light might be traction control turned off
