2011 jcw factory gauge what is it??

Default 2011 jcw factory gauge what is it??
I just picked up a 2011 mini cooper s jcw and next to the tachometer there is a factory gauge that reads in c° and gos to 120° and the gauge gos up when accelerating and down on deceleration dos anyone know what it is and what for?? Thank you

Engine coolant gauge? Since it is marked in celsius it tends to make me think of a coolant of some type. Just a guess.
