Alternate Tire for Potenza 215/40R18 Run Flat
Greetings!
My '07 S has the optional 18" rims and originally came with the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 205/40R18 run flats. From what I can tell from TireRack, these tires have been discontinued. In terms of 205/40R18, there seems to be a limited number of choices. However, 215/40R18 seems to be a popular size.
Today I was at the dealer for an oil change, and they said 215/40R18 would probably fit and they have seen 215s on 17" rims. When I bought the car, I know they had to adjust the hard stops for the steering for the 18" rims. Will 215/40R18s fit? Any other recommendations?
Somewhat related, will the rims fit any 215/40R18? Or am I married to run flats?
