Default BRAKE warning light on

My BRAKE light came on today. I checked the brake fluid - OK & the brake pads are good. Any ideas where to look next?

Its the brake pad sensor. What model and year MINI do you have. The sensor could have failed. There is one in the front left of the MINI and one in the rear right. If it trips, it goes before your pads are all the way worn down.

Examples of what they look like:
Front

&

Rear

They set in the side of the inboard brake pads.

Thanks
