Apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but I'm looking to buy a 2008 Mini Hatch that's being sold in gorgeous racing green, with white stripes and halogen front fog lights. It would be my first mini... And hopefully not the last!

I've read reviews of the 06-09 minis having a lot of issues, but this car has had immaculate service history (all at a Mini dealer), and is in fantastic condition despite being on 80k miles. We took it for a spin and it seemed to drive well.

For £3k, I'm tempted to just buy it, and ignore what I've read about that era of Mini. But am hoping that some of you knowledgeable people can help me decide. What are your thoughts? Go for it? Or pay a little more for a newer model?
