Default help needed to reset brake pad light

I have a 2007 mini cooper hard top. I changed front pads, rotors and sensor but cannot get brake warning light to go off. I have tried resetting service indicator brake wear light instructions, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone provide clear instructions on steps to follow?

This should do you: Get in the car, close the doors, insert key, turn the car on (but do not start the car). On the RPM guage, press and hold the 0,0 button/stick for 10 seconds. This will kick it into service mode. Use the B/C button (the one to access menu items normally) to scroll through the list till you see the front of the car and a mileage number. Press and hold the B/C button for a few seconds for it to pull up the "reset >>" and then again to reset it. It will reset the number to (in the MCS 36k or 37k
