My hood release cable has broken or come loose at the latch. It's still attached to the handle in the foot well. Does anyone know how I can get the hood open without the cable. I have a belly pan on my car so I would have to take it off just to look so I'm trying to avoid having to take it off until I'm ready to do some work.

have a buddy bump the hood while you pull on the release. there's a sweet spot and if its not too bad it'll just pop open. get some new latches and outer cables. not terribly expensive and if you're remotely mechanically inclined, its an easy fix.
