Radio Dead CD ejects fine
2009 Base Mini convertible.
Was running errands today. Made a stop and when I got back into my Mini my radio was dead. No sound, no display, dead. Immediately thought it could be a blown fuse, but I pressed the eject button for the CD which did in fact spit out a CD. Doesn’t this imply it has power and the fuse is good? Anything else I should consider before I start looking for a replacement radio?

Hi. Were you able to find the fix for this? My radio just did the same thing. I checked the fuses in the fuse panel, and they are all good, but I think there is also a fuse on the back of the radio that I haven't tried to get to, yet.
I need to get the LCD repaired, but don't want to waste the time and money if the radio is kaput.

Sorry, no. Did some research on the web and concluded I need to find a replacement radio. Apparently what I experienced is a common failure. I haven’t done anything about it yet, but hope to get to it this summer.
