Is there a place to purchase a new windshield other than the dealership?
I need help,
I sustained a crack in the windshield of my 2012 mini cooper hardtop and am nearing the end of my lease. I need to replace the windshield with an approved mini factory windshield but don't want to pay over the top to my dealership.
Does anyone know of a company or place that sells genuine mini windshields?
Thanks!!!

Safelite quoted me $350 for 2013 Cooper Hard top w/solar and sensored windshield.
My insurance company has a $100 deductible on glass replacement, so that seems the better option in my case. You might check with your insurance about deductibles and possible rate increases.
In speaking with my insurance recommended replacement specialist, he said in his 40 years of auto glass work, he's never heard of anyone getting nicked on their lease turn-in for having an aftermarket windshield.
